Pittsburgh JECEI Pilot
I am extremely excited to share with you the following news! Through support from the Jewish Federation’s Centennial Fund for the Jewish Future we can now resume moving forward with plans for our community’s Jewish Early Childhood Education Initiative (JECEI).This new initiative will be based on the JECEI model, focusing on Reggio through a Jewish lens. The program will also include community-wide professional development opportunities for professionals and lay leaders, family engagement programming, and limited consulting services available to all eleven local Jewish early childhood centers throughout the year. We plan to begin implementation of the project in September.
Goal: Healthy young families with Jewish children are committed to providing Jewish educaiton, identity and engagement to their children.
Desired Outcomes: To raise the quality of early childhood education; to engage families with you Jewish children to increase Jewish identity.
